My 6 year old cat has these large weeping wounds on his chin. Sometimes he has scabs on his chin but it's never been this bad. I'm not sure what causes it. He's a mostly indoor cat. Any advice would be appreciated.

Those look horrible, and I think they merit a vet visit. That said, a lot of people here on the forum have said that some cats react to plastic dishes. If you are using plastic feeding and watering dishes, switch to stainless steel or ceramic. But first get him to the vet and get the sores treated.

Please get your cat to the vet ASAP.  This is not simple feline acne.  This looks very painful.  I get boils and your picture of your cat looks very similar to what I deal with. These are infections which require antibiotics or they keep coming back.  Also they are very painful to deal with.  Even if they are draining on their own the underlying infection needs to be treated.

Sorry if this is too much personal information but I do not want to see this person's cat suffer.

Call any local cat rescue or SPCA to assist. It costs money. Get some help.. they're in pain and need emergency care.    Call them ASAP.
