I've got a 7-8 year old grey tiger stripe fixed male.  He seems to be very healthy with the exception he vomits.  Sometimes it's once a day for a while, sometimes every couple or few days.  Some of it is liquid, some looks like he had a bowel movement and other times it's undigested food.  I've dewormed him and that didn't seem to help.  There has been no change in the food he gets, same brand his whole life.  Refresh the water every couple of days.  I'm at a loss because other than that he seems to be very healthy.  Loves to lay in my lap, very talkative to me, a very happy kitty.

Thank you for any and all help you can give,

     J.R.

One more thing, I've also got a 7-8 year old fixed female black/white tuxedo and she doesn't vomit. So whatever is wrong with him is not contagious.

Hi

When did this start?  Is his weight stable?  How soon after eating does he vomit?  It sounds like it could be various times based on how digested the food is.  It's possible he has developed a food allergy which could be or may become IBD, inflammatory bowel disease.  Early stage IBD is often diagnosed by treating for it with a novel protein/carb food and or an antibiotic like flagyl or Tylosin (insist on tablets). Liquid flagyl is disgusting and powdered Tylosin is inedible.

Regardless, repeated vomiting isn't normal and warrants a vet visit and exam.

It's been going for at least 5 years and his weight is stable.  Most of the time it's random when it happens.

5 years is a long time to be vomiting, have you discussed this with your vet?  Conducted food trials?
