This is the shedding season. I was suggested to get my cat a haircut. As I know the lions cut is quite popular. Is it necessary to do so or it's better to avoid it?

Totally your decision. Comb daily to rid the cat of loose hair and you should be fine.
You can trim down or thin out areas where mats develop easily, under chin bib areas helps me, The only place they have long hair really.

Thanks. I do comb him everyday. But there is still his hair everywhere in the house. He has such a fine hair that it's even floating in the air I feel. I just ordered a deshedding tool from Amazon. I'll try after I get it.
