My cat is 63 days pregnant, she's been very very affectionate over the last week and hasn't left my side, she has lost her mucus plug today and keeps meowing and laying down. Is labour near? thank you

Yes, she is close.

Have you bought kitten supplies?  Set up nests?

Can you make sure that mom stays inside and away from intact males until her litter has weaned?

Well I'm no expert! But I'd say she is going to have her babies in the next few hours to the next few days. What people will tell you here is basically what you will find everywhere on google. But the support is really nice! I JUST joined a day or two ago and feel really comforted having real life people helping me and wishing me luck instead of google. haha

My kitty is pregnant too, and she's due any day now.

Good luck to you and your cat! Do you have everything you need for her and the babies? :)

Well, people can only give you the same advice as google when it's speculating.  I think the benefit to a community is when something urgent happens in your specific situation, you have people who know your story and can help.  It's all the same until something real happens!

Yes I've got everything needed, I've researched n researched lol plus, we took her in because my boyfriends friends daughter wasn't looking after her and I love cats,we didn't have any pets and he mentioned a previous phantom pregnancy but said she was now spayed which turns out she wasn't, she's a beautiful lpure white cat, she's just over 2 years old and I love her so much already I just hope it goes ok

She's beautiful!  So glad you are able to take her in and provide real care.

I agree, though replies on this forum can be a little slow, when they aren't I've read multiple forums where babies lives have been saved! Especially under special circumstances where vets in certain areas of the worlds' only advice is euthanize. Definitely very helpful and I'm glad to have found this community. Being reassured by some people on here that I'm well prepared for my kittens really did help too, I've been very anxious as a person could be despite the vet saying she's healthy and preparing for weeks, and having friendly advice and reassurance has made me feel a lot more calm about this. :)

I went from panicking a few times a day about my pregger kitty to being very excited!

Don't be alarmed if she seems to take a break and act normal. It happens and babies usually come in about 2 days. How's momma doing?

She's doing well, still no babies but very quiet and still today, keeps pacing about, she's not panting yet but seems to be slightly heavier breathing :-)

I think it may be today or tomorrow she's not eating that much just every now and then, she's hardly moved at all today, kittens are moving about nicely
