Hi, so I have 2 male cats, one is about 3.5 years old(not fixed) and the other one is just over a year old(fixed). Well in the past couple months, the older cat has started humping the younger one(who is actually a little bit bigger size wise), and in the past month it has gotten out of hand, and in the past week its gotten even worse. now he literally tries to mount him like every 5-10 minutes, bites his neck and tries to hump sometimes. the other cat just stares and will sometimes meow. its gotten to the point where they will both be sleeping on my bed, the older one will just get up randomly and go and start mounting the other cat, sometimes even in the middle of the night and i get woken up by little meow cries from the younger cat.
i dont get it, what can I do about this? am i going to have to get the older one fixed as well? but when i googled more posts popped up about neutered cats doing it than none neutered cats.
i dont think its an attention problem as I feel the older cat sits on my lap more often and every morning he lays on my head, but im not a cat expert so I dont know.
thanks.
pics of them sitting on my lap.
the orange one is the humper, the grey is the humpee lol
