While at Petsmart, my husband and I were looking at the "fresh" section of the food isle.

We came upon Freshpet Viral brand cat food, and initially mistaking it for treats, we bought it for our cat, Bliss.

She absolutely loves it. We're just using it as treats at this point, and feeding her a dry food that's high in omega fats to help with her coat (she sheds like it's going out of fashion. dear lord).

She enjoys it so much to the point that we're considering switching her to it, if we can manage to find a bigger bag of it! The size they sell at the pet store is only enough or about two days of feeding, even less if she turns out to be pregnant (which if she is, we'd switch her to the proper kitten food). At almost $6 a pop, that's a no go.

Has anyone fed their cats this brand? Recommend any good ones?

Thanks!! Read through them, and the whole spinach debate kind of put me off from using it as her main food source. I think I'll just stick with using it as a treat!!
Yeah... and really, the cost of FreshPet is so high, you might as well feed raw.  In fact, I think feeding raw is cheaper!

I recently picked up a one pound bag of Freshpet at a big box pet store for $5.99. The next day I was in a big box store for groceries and noticed they sold a one pound bag of Freshpet at $4.29 and a two pound bag at $7.99.

The cats I have enjoy Freshpet. At $7.99 for a two pound bag, you can feed a basic cat that food for a week for the same cost as, say Friskes. Freshpet ingredients and calorie efficiency are head and shoulders above Friskies. I think as much as $9.00 for a two pound bag is a pretty cost effective great food.

The only thing I would add, if it's not in the other threads posted, is to be conscious of Petfresh foods' perishability and ensuring the feeding space and bowls are well cleaned before and after meals.
