I adopted an abandoned cat late last year, and he is up to date on his vaccines. On friday I noticed redness near his leg and a tiny wound around it. It had a small amount of discharge, but the bite and inflammation is about 1 inch long by 1/4 thick. I didnt notice much discharge from the wound, but it was still puffed up a little. I took a tiny sterile needle, and gently put it in the wound to see if any pus would come out. It only was a little blood. I cleaned the area with saline solution, and put a tiny bit of polysporin on it as I have for the past 2 days.
What is a reasonable amount of time for a wound this size to heal 1-2 weeks? I'm just wondering because I havent encountered this before. I have insurance that covers most of the vet costs if I need to go, but this didnt seem too bad
