Of course she had them on moving day!

Glad they are all nursing. Has mom had more refreshment? Or did she eat all 6 placentas? She may have diarrhea if she did.

Letting her rest is a good idea. She won't like being moved in the crate later, but she'll be okay.

New home - new cat family!

She's had some KMR since I got home, but she did eat all the placenta. Got to them as soon as it came out, and growled at me when I tried to move her away, so I'll keep an eye on that. Anything I can try to give her to ease up on it?

I'll grab a picture once everyone has had a rest and I can get them in some new bedding, she stayed in the box the entire time for these ones.

Yep, they need clean bedding. And nope, if she has diarrhea, it will clean her out but not be serious.

When are you planning to move them? Perhaps into the crate with clean bedding would work, so they only have to be disturbed the one time until you get to the new house. Just a thought.

I think she just got scared and went to where we usually are when we're in the room, I'm about a foot away from her and she knows I'm right here, so she should be okay. :)

He's an EMT/Firefighter with the state of Texas, actually. So he knows how to hold people/things together until you can get to a physician. But he's actually working at the ER as an IT specialist(trained through the Army), since it's a free standing ER he takes care of all the technical stuff for North and East Texas.
Bless him.  My son was a medic in the Army, as well.  I wondered if he would stay in the medical field, but he's a cloud architect.
Woke up to another kitten being born!

She's very quick, and pretty silent until the thing is right there. She keeps rolling around, though.

Edit* make that two. She just popped out another

*edit three!
GOOD LORD!  I'd be rolling around, too, having kittens in rapid succession like that!

So happy for you with your new little family.  Lots of pics...don't forget the tails
So you do have calicos!  I'm doubly pleased...I love tri-colored cats, although one of the ladies at Cathouse on the Kings told me that they are even harder to place than black cats.  No idea why.  I think they are gorgeous, both calicos and torties.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 there might be a tortoise or two in there! When the little black ones arrived I thought they were tuxedoes, all I saw was black and white with the first once. But it looks like they've got orangE around their faces, and I don't think one has white.

Right before I walk out the door. Literally he last thing to do on my list! The crate is big enough that I can just put the nesting box right in, we had bought a huge one and plan on using it after this for carrying around my German shepherd, so it's fairly large.

Gads.  What a lot going on at once!  Catch us up when you've caught your breath!  Crossing fingers for torties!

Don't stress mom too much about pictures. We can wait if need be. She's been through a lot with more to go.

No, don't stress mama out.  I can wait, reasonably patiently.  She has enough major changes going on right now!

Noted. We'll make do with a family shot once I get her comfortable in the home, and everyone is asleep.

Goodness! That was a much bigger litter than the vet predicted! No wonder she was so uncomfortable. Wishing good luck for the move.
And let us hear how it goes.

We made it last night!! I would have updated, but gosh we were all so tired. Bliss wasn't too happy in the carrier and let me know every chance she could.

She settled happily in the closet, but I have to keep the bedroom door shut. She really wants to explore around the house.

Glad it all worked out. She'll have plenty of time to explore when her babies get bigger. How are they doing with nursing/weight gain?

So glad you are in the new place and getting settled!  I know how a move can be.  When I was married, we moved 26 times in 24 years...one of the reasons I am happily single now!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the late reply. Still working on getting some flooring down (doing it myself, so ugh to that) and getting internet set up.

Kitties are all doing well, I'm able to leave the bedroom door open now, and only catch Bliss trying to sneak out and explore every once in awhile, but once she hears  those squeaks she darts right back in to the closet.

All of them are feeding well, there are three larger kittens that are gaining about half an ounce a day, while two of the smaller ones are gaining about a quarter ounce a day. I've taken to bottle feeding those two a little extra in the morning, to be sure they gain what they're supposed to.

I know I keep promising pictures, I'm actually about to hop over there now (I'm next door at the in-laws, grabbing some water since ours has got a terrible smell to it at the moment) to get one of everybody for you guys!

I'm glad you are weighing and keeping a sharp eye out. I think you should supplement the 2 little ones more than once a day until they are gaining more.

It sounds like you've been very busy putting in the new flooring and getting settled.

I'm glad everything is going well! Keep us posted! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Got a few for ya! Bliss is always really happy to see me, I think she gets lonely while I'm busy. Purring up a storm, that one!

This is one that I'm not sure of they're a tuxedo, or tri-colored. The little spot on its forhead may look orange? You'll see later, the two dark ones are very black. The camera just made it look brown.
