Brewer's yeast for fleas

Hello, I just found this forum, so I don't know if it will go through or not?

I have read that using brewers yeast, helps cats get rid of fleas.  Buffy doesn't have many yet, but I wonder if this works?

I know it is not baking yeast, and if you have used this, where do I find it?  I live in Kansas City, Missouri.

I'm really sorry that no one replied to your question before now.  Sometimes posts get overlooked when the site is very busy and they move down the list so fast no one sees them who knows the answer.  I actually don't know the answer to this either, but wanted to apologize to you.   Did you ever get an answer to your question?  

As to where you can get brewers yeast - I used to get it at the supermarket but I would think any health food store would have it as well.  

Wal-Mart stores have the 7.5-grain tablets on a lowish shelf in the section of vitamins and supplements very near the Pharmacy Department.

I assure you that it will not work for flea control.

Brewers yeast does not kill or repel fleas. I have been using one with garlic flavor and my dogs and cat still have fleas.
