Changed behavior

Hi, when I first got my baby girl, we instantly had this bond. She would always make me pet her and cuddle her. Loved waking me up in the middle of the night just to cuddle with her. True human cat bond there. Now she's very distant in the last month or two. Doesn't like to cuddle at all anymore. She's about 8 months. I just wanted to know if there's a reason. Am I smothering her lol? I understand cats are very independent. Obviously I can't give you every detail of our relationship since she's been here so I know there's many things that could make her want to do her own thing lol. Thanks guys [emoji]128512[/emoji]

Is your kitty otherwise the same--good eating, drinking, pooping habits?  

Has anything changed--did anything happen that could have frightened her?  

On the other hand, cats do change their patterns sometimes.  One of my cats slept with me every single night and then suddenly just stopped.  He wanted to sleep in another room.  After some days (maybe 2-3 weeks, I'm not sure) he came back to be his usual snuggly self, but he does still go sleep somewhere else from time to time.

It's very likely that she's going through an adolescent phase right now. Has she been spayed?

Yes she is spayed and no her poo is fine, and she HaS a filtered water bowl lol. She is also eating the blue buffalo kitten food. Do cats have the teenage phase lol?
