I could use some big time help! I am pretty desperate.  My little Theodore is a manx kitty, about 3 months old, and he seems to have a urinary problem.  Let me explain when we go to hold this precious baby he will purr and go to sleep in our arms and he don't even move and seems very comfy in our arms.  But by the time he wakes up in our arms (the whole time he is sleeping he don't stir not a bit) he has pottied on us and we have also noticed he has done this after he has been sleeping on the cat tree (in which he can get down very easy) and on the floor.  I have cleaned it all up each and every time and the problem just don't go away.  He don't have a bowl problem because I have kept track of that by seeing he poop the box.  I just am at my  wits end because he is so darn cute but don't like having a wet shirt or pants because it seems like he either can't hold it or is just to lazy to go to the litter box. He has been checked out but there seem to be no answers how to correct the problem.  I don't want to give him away and have the sleepless nights worrying if he really has a good home and not being mistreated.

Please if anyone can j understand my problem and be of any help I would greatly appreciate it. Oh this not about the bowl problem he has no problem with that just potty.

Feeling helpless !!!

Some Manx cats have problems controlling their pelvic muscles, due to deformities caused by taillessness. Hopefully that's not the trouble :/. You may want to ask for a referral to a veterinary neurologist if it continues. But at his age I'd still have some hope that he may develop more control as he gets older. You could also consider using doggie (kitty :tongue2) diapers, if he'll tolerate them.

When he was checked out by the vet, was the question of his manx tailessness not brought up? That is almost certainly the problem and he simply has no control over his muscles there. I agree that he should see a specialist.

I have had Theodore to a vet out here in North Dakota and the one I went to didn't even know what to tell me or what was wrong. But I am still looking for a good vet that isn't some dumb redneck that thinks that they know everything about cats and dogs but they don't the specialize in is livestock. I have been to 2 different Dr.'s that don't know jack and I don't trust their decision either. But I will find one somewhere here. But like one other person said he is still young and he most likely he will gain control of his bladder. My daughter got Theodore from a friend of hers and she told me that they were feeding the kittens cheese, people food and of course dry & wet food and she wasn't told what kind of food the kittens were eating for kitten food. But I trust Iams kitten and cat food. At first he was having the runs and real hard poops but then straightened out after about a week and has been fine with part since.
I have 4 cats including little Theodore (born or Feb 16 this year), and I have 5 dogs a Greencheek conure. Then when I got this Manx kitten he just through me for a loop.

Thanks for the advice about the doggie diapers. My daughter gave me some but they are way to big for little Theodore cuz they would cover his whole body LOL. I have thought about getting him some premie diapers for babies and see if they will be small enough LOL. I will keep trying anything with Dr.'s and advice I get from here. I have a lot of patients and won't give up on him and will keep trying anything. I have within the past quite a few years I have had dogs and cats that have had problems and didn't have much time to live or are still living now in my home. Yes you could say I am a sucker for animals. No worries I have on a farmette so my dogs get to go out and play and the kitties never get to go out and I refuse to declaw my cats.

I have no expirence with this but your story about sweet Theodore really touched me and wanted to help. I googled "cat diapers" and found this:

There were also some interesting products on Amazon but these seem specific for cats so thought they my have more of a chance in fitting your little boy.

Thanks for the advice and I will just have to get Theodore some of those diapers. I am willing to try any thing. We have grown attached to him in such a short time and love him just everybody else that lives in this house. We are suckers for animals and can't stand to hear about an animal being abused and absolutely hate it when tells us they either don't like their animal and want to do harm to them or they just want to let the animal go in a field and let it fend for itself so of course we rescue the animal and make sure we find a perfect home for them or be suckers and keep them LOL. That is why all my animals are fixed.LOL That is why when we got Theodore we had been puzzled with him and I have been searching all options for him. : )

Amazon had these adorable little pants that might be helpful as he gets bigger (hopefully he won't have a need for them when he is older!):

I'm so glad that Theodore has a wonderful mom in you[emoji]10084[/emoji]️. Not everyone has as much compassion and love to be all in despite challenges.
Do you have a photo of the little muffin?
