My husband and I are bottle feeding some kittens because the mom cat abandoned them. We've had them for about a week now and I've had no problems with them using the bathroom or eating. I just finished feeding them and one of the kittens is breathing weird. It's like a bubbling/wheezing sound and I'm freaking out, I can't stop crying. Please someone tell me what it could be. I have no way of getting to a vet until my husband gets home! Also I've been feeding them on their tummies.

It sounds like it could be pneumonia. The kitten should go to the vet as soon as possible. Until then, you may be able to help the breathing by letting the kitten breath in a steamy bathroom while you hold them. Be sure they don't get chilled.

Do you have mom as well?

That's pneumonia. Kitten needs an antibiotic ASAP to help clear the lungs to survive. Otherwise won't last long. Let us know what happens.

Thank you for the reply, and no we don't have the mom she just left them. The kitten hasn't been breathing like that anymore, she started breathing normal again after about 5 minutes. Could it still be pneumonia or does she need to be breathing like that constantly?
