R.I.P. Toes April 3, 2016 - April 28, 2016

i took in a pregnant stray who had a litter of 5 kittens on April 3.
Today this little kitten who I called Toes (he was all grey with little white toes) passed away.
He was lethargic this morning, I brought him to the vet where they gave him fluids & antibiotics. 
He passed away an hour ago, I believe he had fading kitten syndrome.
R.I.P. little buddy, so sorry I couldn't save you. <3

I'm so sorry for your loss. You did a great thing by taking in his mom. You've given Toes and his siblings a much better chance than they would have had without your intervention. Thank you for caring for all of them and taking Toes to the vet today. May he rest in peace.

Toes was an adorable kitten.  I cried just looking at his pictures.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Bless you for caring for him and his family.  It is a wonderful thing that you've done, taking in a pregnant stray. 

You were there for him, you gave him love and care, that is all he ever wanted in his short little life, it is so unfair that he didn't get to grow up with his family. We will never understand why something so pure and innocent is taken, but all we do is sometimes not enough to prevent their going. You took this little family in to your heart and your home, I pray you are blessed for your kindness. I also pray that these precious little souls will grow up to a loving world, join a loving family and bring happiness and love to someone who will love them back. Little Toes life was validated, he was loved and will never be forgotten. Now he will be known by many and mourned as he should be, thank you for letting the world know of his brave struggle and that he meant something to a heart that is now broken. RIP sweet Toes, your journey to the Rainbow Bridge will be a swift one, your innocence has touched a thousand hearts and ensures you a warm place on the laps of angels! 

I wept when I saw his pictures, so much sweetness. RIP Toes

Toes didn't die in the street, unwanted and unloved, because of you. His mom and siblings will get the medical care and forever homes because of you. His earthly journey was very brief, but he went to heaven knowing he was loved, and had a home. That's more than many cats have.

It is so sad when they go so young. Thank you for doing so much for him and his family. I'm sorry for your loss.

What I said about Toes applies to Squeekers as well. She wanted to be with her brother. My deepest condolences on another heartbreaking loss.
