My cat ,Amaya, Is pregnant and I don't know how far along she is. I can feel the kittens kicking tho and her stomach is rock hard. She usually sits in my lap but now she keeps avoiding me almost. This is her first litter too. How long until she has the kittens?

She'll deliver 2 - 3 weeks from when you first felt the kittens moving.  Do you remember when that was?

She likely has 1-2 weeks to go. A rock hard tummy occurs the last couple of weeks too. When you begin to see discharge you will know she's really close. Waiting is hard!

It is time to start setting up some nests and buying some supplies for the kittens. Nests should go in warm, quiet, dark spaces. A closet with the door slightly open works well, especially if you can have the litter box and food in the room the closet is in.

Mom should have unlimited access to dry kitten food, water, and several meals of wet kitten food per day. She should continue eating like this through nursing.

For the kittens, you will want to buy a small scale to weigh them daily. This is how you will confirm that everyone is gaining enough. You should also get powdered kmr (PetAg is best) and a needleless syringe in case you need to supplement.

Are you able to keep mom 100% inside and away from intact males until she can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old?

We plan on getting her spayed after this litter. She usually settles in the barn and my grandfather dosent like cats so she is an outside cat. What should I do then?

She needs to stay inside until she can be spayed or she will be pregnant again in no time. Can you keep her in your room until it's time for the spay? It's so important for her health and safety.

Also I have a question. Amaya seems to run around my small house and sometimes trys to go upstairs. But every once in a while she would go back to her kittens and feed and clean them but then she would get right back up. Is this normal? Oh I have another question. Since she used to be an outside cat. We let her out once an hour to run around. Is this okay?

Mom really needs to stay 100% inside until she is spayed.  Mom cats who go outside bring back illness and parasite to their babies, or go into heat and come back pregnant, or don't come back at all.  While the babies are small and depend on her. she must stay in.  Once she is spayed, it's fine for her to be indoor / outdoor.  She isn't with her babies enough as is and they need her.  She will get used to inside.  If you need to close her in a room with her food, water, litter box, and the kittens so she is more attentive that is fine too.

Yes, please stop letting her out right now while she has babies to feed. She needs to be spayed when the babies wean, or she'll be having back to back litters.
