so one of the kittens from Princess' litter died a few days ago. he stopped eating and got lethargic and i think my attempts to keep him alive did more harm than good. poor lil guy died of pneumonia or just from having too much milk in his lungs i think.

he had to be bottlefed when he was born because he wouldn't latch on and back then he was a hungry drinker, lol. i'll never forget how happy he was to drain the syringe.

i'm sorry lil guy. rest in peace.

I'm so sorry about this :( I had a kitten pass away on me who also would t latch on and was deformed in the back legs....I cried for days ;( I tried bottle feeding him/her but it didn't work and I probably also did more harm than good to sadly admit :( we still have his/her sister and she is a year old now :) she's healthy and I just hope that that little baby will RIP as well.....maybe their both sleeping together up there...since they look about the same age.

My heart goes out to you, it is so hard  to lose such a baby after trying so hard to help. Sometimes I wonder if my 'help' does more harm then good too, but giving them a chance is still better then doing nothing at all.We have to believe that.  I wish we could understand why they have to go before really living at all, I'm just so happy he had you there to show him some love and cars and to validate his existence on this earth. Please kiss his mom and his brothers and sisters for me, I'll pray for you all to find strength when going through such sorrow.  Try to celebrate that you got to know this tiny boy, his star will be shining brightly from teh laps of angels. RIP sweet baby boy, you will never be forgotten and will live on in a loving heart!

@hmckinney  please don't blame yourself for this. You gave everything you had to try to save this baby. Unfortunately, sometimes they just don't make it no matter what you do. That little one had a short life, yes, but it was a life that knew unconditional love and this is what he will take with him over the bridge. RIP sweet baby.

Condolences  to MamaKitty and you on losing your little guy
As Di&Bob put it so beautifully, he is now on the laps of the angels
I am glad that he got to know the joys of a loving touch and of enjoying a good bottle of milk.  His inability to latch on well was a sign that there was probably something wrong internally. I applaud your efforts in trying to help him live - you just never know when it's "their time to go".  I have 3 ferals in my yard that were rejects from their moms and I was able to hand-raise them; they ended up being blind but are very happy cats. MOst of my "rejects" seem to succumb to health issues but once in awhile, they go on to live and I always try because one never knows.

Play happily over Rainbow Bridge, little kitty! Look up Taz, my friend Bev's cat, you will recognize him because his markings look just like yours.
