Your burp a kitten the same way your burp a human baby. [emoji]128521[/emoji]

Gently tap the kitten on the back (I typically just use my index finger). It doesn't take much in way of force/pressure in tapping.

Are you feeding him stomach down and head up, like he would nurse from mom?

As best i could he was squirming quite a bit and i didnt want to force him to stay still so i timed my drops to when he was in the correct position

Round 2 went a little better. I was able to use the bottle. I found out that the hole in the nipple was not nearly big enough. So i made it bigger and he/she did suck on it alittle, bit i was also able to drop in when needed

Good, the bottle is easier, and also, less risky, so if you manage her to take bottle its excellent.

This new tip mentioned by Willowy, to use a little make-up sponge, yes its good and works in many cases.

Still, its a new tip, somebody come with it just this year.

I am assuming that the kitten is still with Mama, and that Mama is taking care of cleaning and toileting?  If not, we can instruct on those, as well.  GOOD WORK!

Yes the kitten is still with her mother. Im assuming that she is as the baby is fluffy and looks clean. Other then thay, im not sure how to tell if she is.

Is there a feeding guideline or chart someone can point me to? I was told to feed 1-2ml approx every 2 hours. But event the little guy will need more food. So when do i increase, and is it 2 hour till it can eat hard food?

That's how you tell.  If the kitten is clean and fluffy, Mama has that end of it covered.  Good mama, just has problems at her age with the feeding portion of the program.

@StefanZ you would know about schedules and amounts of feeding for growing kittens far better than I...

The kitten needs to be weighed daily to see how much and if it needs to be supplemented. Were you able to bring them inside?

So round 3 went well. She drank a good bit of the formula. I set her on my knee to see how much was left and she started to cry. Momma came out of her box, picked her up and took her back in the box. I walked out a couple mins later to chexk on them and the baby was nursing on the mother. So hopefully shes still producing some milk.

Here's something I found that you may find helpful.  It's illustrated and has a nice handy chart on how to feed and how often - like every 2 hours Day 1 through Day 3 and so on.  The bad part is it shows the kitten being fed on it's back in two pictures!  They must be kept belly down with face slightly up just like it nurses on it's mama.  Other than that it looks pretty helpful.

Okay so i got the momma and baby inside. We shut down a bathroom for her. Got fresh water, wet food, dry food and some cat milk she likes to drink.

That's great news!  Is the cat milk the treat milk or kmr?  Mom can actually drink a dish of kmr per day and it will be full of nutrients.

Thanks for that! I think them showing the baby feeding upside down was for a cuteness factor.

When you know how much the kitten weighs (weigh it at the same time every day) it gets tricky since it is still nursing from mom.  To thrive a kitten needs 8 ml/cc per ounce of weight during a 24 hour period.    (8*weight in oz)/# of feedings in a day.

It's important that the kitten nurse from mom for the bonding and cleaning.  So you don't want to feed the whole amount.  If fact it's possible mom has enough milk for the kitten.  the more the kitten nurses from mom the more milk mom will produce.

If the kitten isn't crying for food, I would weigh it and not supplement for 24 hours, weigh it again and this way you will know if the kitten is gaining from nursing alone.  You want to see a minimum of 6 - 10 grams or .2 - .4 ounces a day.  And more as the kitten gets larger.

Im thinking it is getting from mom as well. I went to feed it again and her stomach seemed full. But she still took to the bottle and drank some. I didnt force it like i said her stomach seemed full. I weighed her today around 130pm so ill weigh again tomorrow at the same time. Her weight today was 91grams.

If she's getting enough from mom, it's best not to supplement. Whenever a human feeds a kitten, there's a chance of inhalation pneumonia (if they accidently inhale the milk). So it's not something to do unnecessarily. So, yeah, get a scale and only supplement if baby isn't gaining enough weight.
