He's too sick to muster the desire on his own even with a cat play room, this would be like assisted physical therapy. My first thought was cat hamster wheel. Just looking for ideas. I'll sometimes try to hold him under his arm pits to work his abs but it doesn't really work lol. Like... I wonder if there is a never-ending maze for animals or perhaps I could make one.... Any ideas?

I'm wondering if they have cat gyms with treadmills. I could put him on a collar and get him good exercise. ???

Okay, apparently a treadmill is a widely available option. Motorized, use a leash. Water bottle and bowl and timber. Bingo!

It's not much exercise; but my girls enjoy a bird feeder I have hanging from the eve of the house just outside the window in front of their cat tree.  It does encourage them to go up and down the cat tree.  That window gets the morning sun so sometimes when the curtains are still closed Mooch will go for the shadows the birds make.

I tried a treadmill. Make sure to try a neighbor's first before 'borrowing' one from Wal-Mart that you might have to pick up and return with a little car. It didn't work. He just let his legs skid while crying at the slowest speed.

Is he interested at all in playing with you with toys? I've never met a cat (even old ones who usually don't play much) who didn't like the Cat Catcher:
There are also the food dispenser toys that you put dry food (or treats) inside and they have to work to get it out.

he's currently on his last legs. I've just found a nice basket that he seems to love that he has been comfortably relaxing in all day with me outside with birds and bees and ducks interacting so I cancelled his appointment with Dr death today in the hopes we may land ourselves on an answer, a new effective prayer. I've set myself up so I can do work outside by his side in the basket with fresh air and sun behind shade and I'm just going to cross my fingers his bleeding with subside if not completely stop . If it subsides maybe we've been able to reverse the cancer.

Oh, but anyway, yeah, he's not playing or anything. But as soon as he can I'll be looking into any and everything to up his mood.
