Its with a heavy heart that I tell you all this but Ace didnt make it. He had spina bifida and the worst deformed rib cage the surgeon has ever seen.(hence his breathing problems) He is surprised he lasted 4 weeks. He should have been gone before 2. R.I.P. little one

We went to vet expecting to bring his body back. Vet said only 1 vertebrae not closed around his spinal column and he is gaining weight etc so they have decided to give him another chance. His body should adapt to his rib cage.Im foaming about being messed aboutbut happy he is still with us.

Hurray!!!

He was nursing and playing with his mama this morning, and the antibiotics seemed to be helping his lungs.

I'm elated he is still here. If he can recover from the pneumonia, he will probably be alright.

Is Sam home now? Is vet sending antibiotics home with you?

Awesome! I believe he's going to be fine. Keep us posted. Try to upload another photo if you can. The other never went through. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Oh, what a little cutie pie! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

Ace looks none too pleased coming home from the vet! Can't say I blame him.

He is a doll, and looks great! Is he breathing better now?

His breathing is caused by his deformed rib cage but vet said his body should adapt to it. It is a lot better though and the antibiotics for his aspirated pneumonia are helping too. He tried climbing my leg this morning and has been telling his mam off for cleaning him too much lol

His deformed rib cage can be corrected! catwoman707 catwoman707 has helped several kittens on TCS . Search flat chested kittens on here and there are some wonderful threads that show how this condition can be corrected with Catwoman707's guidance and brace design.

Actually im so surprised the vet said his body will get used to it!
If anything it will get worse and can be life threatening.
Please read through the threads where ive helped others, it makes it easier to understand.

Well, I finally got my pc back today, I feel like I've missed so much, how are things going?

Where did the mention of a flat chest come from, the vet? What did he say?
