I just got two 6 month old kittens from someone who has had them since 8 weeks. I asked what kind of food they were eating and she gave me a box of Purina indoor cat food. She said before that she only gave them canned cat food and had just recently moved them onto the kibble. I would personally still have them on kitten chow until 9 months-1 year but im not sure now if I should switch them over to kitten food if they have never had it before or keep on with the adult cat food at this point?

Might be a good idea to get them back on to kitten food. I give my five month old kittens royal canin kitten dry food, and hills kitten wet food, along with raw and cooked meat. The vet told me that was ok. I give cooked chicken thighs once a wk for a treat. But mainly raw kangaroo meat, lamb and beef. I have read a raw diet is good. The vet told me most cat food you buy is bad for them, full of sugar, salt, colouring, etc. So try to find a good one suited to kittens. Hope this helps.
