She is just confused from surgery, anesthesia, and hormones. She will get better, and her milk should come in too. In the meantime, are you feeding the kittens? They need feeding every 1-2 hours with kitten formula. Did the vet instruct you?

I just got them all kmr. I'm trying to get home asap. Are the nipples supposed to be super warm? Apparently she had a fever last night as well.

* I added to this so re-read if necessary!!!

No! Your mama cat has an infection and needs antibiotics ASAP. Call the vet who did the surgery and see if you can pick some up. Sounds like mastitis! Put a damp, warm compress on her nipples to help draw out the infection, but she needs meds. She's in pain and won't be able to nurse until she's better.

Babies have to be fed around the clock, so kiss your sleep goodbye for now.

Babies must be fed 1-2 mL's each every 1-2 hours ASAP. If they haven't been fed at all, start with 1 mL per kitten every hour right now. Give each kitten 1 mL, then go back around and give them each another mL. If they seem lethargic, put honey on their gums.

To feed, hold kitten tummy down, head up, and put one drop of formula in the side of the mouth at a time, using a small syringe. Let the baby swallow, breathe, and go again. They may or may not take a bottle. Did you get a kitten bottle? The syringe or eye dropper will work best to start them off. More control over what they get. They will be desperate for food at this point. Probably getting dehydrated. I hope they will be okay. Kittens can starve to death quickly. But be sure they do not aspirate formula into their lungs, so go slow! As babies grow they will need more mLs per feeding.

Please update.

P.S. I hope you got a can of powdered PetAg KMR. The pre-mixed is no good.

I have zero money until friday so I can't get her to a vet. I'm giving Kleo and her kittens KMR, two of the kittens don't want it but I still try to feed them it. I don't know what to do. I doubt anyone is going to help me again to get her to the vet again.

She should not have to go in again. Just call the vet office who did the c-section and spay and tell them what's going on. You should be able to pick up antibiotics.

Have you used a warm compress on her nipples?

How much are the kittens taking? How are you giving it to them? They have to eat whether they want to or not.

I will call then, hopefully they don't require me to come in again. And yes, I've been doing that for a bit and she seems to enjoy it. The kittens are taking a few drops, I put them on their back and gently work it into their mouth.

Never feed a kitten on its back! They can aspirate milk into their lungs. A kitten is fed TUMMY down, head up, as though it is feeding from mom. Can you re-read my Post #23? I explained exactly how to feed.

Are you using a syringe or bottle?

I've been busy with momma and kittens. The babies all getting chunky, Kleo is hyper, and all is good. Kleo is now producing milk so we're just giving her the KMR as a treat (the vet said it was okay since she wasn't eating or drinking for a while). She's a really good momma she cleans, feeds, and snuggles her kittens, but knows when the kittens are sleeping that she can get out and play. Kleo is so skinny now, I feel stupid for not knowing for so long that she was pregnant! It's kinda funny, we got this soft dog bed Kleo likes and she doesn't want to share it with her kittens. Some of her stitches are coming out, but she's the one pulling them out.

The stitches must be getting tight and itching as she heals. Please put some olive oil on her scar where the stitches are to offer relief. When are they supposed to come out? The incision is not open or bleeding, is it?

She pulled out all of the stitches on her own and it's sealed. Should she be pouncing and trying to wrestle her kittens at 11 days?

Does she feed the kittens or are you feeding them? Does she clean them? It's possible that her mom hormones aren't quite there and she needs supervision with them.

Sounds like she's feeling good to me! I'd say she's being a normal cat mom! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
