~HUGE SNIP WITH A CHAIN SAW~

**Definition of "successful" was having one of my homebred kittens take 2nd Best of the Best Kitten in Madison Square Garden back when Himmies hardly ever made the finals!  Her name was Chalimar Surprise, and she was a blue point female, sweet as can be, and I have always kicked myself that I had sold her before she made that win, and was being picked up at the show by her new owner.  Obviously he was thrilled!  Anyhow, once I got into rescue, I could not breed in good conscience so my lovelies were all spayed or neutered and placed in good forever homes.  I have a clear conscience!
One thing I would never have doubted about you is that anything you did in connection with cats was with their well-being in mind.  I have a handful go-to people on TCS whose opinion means more than any other.  You're on my short list.  That said, there are a LOT of folks with a lot of knowledge, but the truth of it is, sometimes you just "click" with the way certain folks write...you get what they are saying.  You are one of those people for me.

Hi Everyone-

I am the foster of this pretty unique looking kitten. gmm80 has become a good friend of mine, via the internet since we both started talking through The Cat Site. Glenna has been nothing short of my go to for questions with my fosters.

I for sure will keep you all posted on this little guys progress in his looks. I can even try posting a video of him, with his siblings today. He is very active and sort of is the one to cause all the rowdiness with his siblings! Loves to cuddle. I am hoping he keeps the color he has, but I doubt it. I do think he has fever coat as well. From the pictures I have seen he does resemble some kittens I have seen with the same issue, fever coat.

Thanks for all the interest in my buddy. He for sure is the most unique colored kitten I have ever had!

I want him too

This video is too cute. I'm not sure it can be legally displayed without a big "Cuteness Overload" warning all over it

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments!

I'll post pictures every few weeks until he goes up for adoption. The litter is 4.5 weeks and they go back at 3 lbs or 3 months. This seems to be a small litter, so likely they will be with me for the next 2 months

Wow very unique looking. I fostered a kitten with fever coat and it didn't look quite the same as him. It's still possible but I'm hoping he keeps the coloring, it's just so interesting not to mention adorable. The last photo of the black kitten looks like he has a thin grey stripe between his eyes. They're all beautiful!

After seeing him in motion, although his fur is a little longer than I first thought, he still has a "rex-ish" look to him.  He's a doll!  Alas that my Hekitty will not tolerate any other feline in her thralldom.  And that last kitten you posted a picture of, that's another real cutie, and may be a smoke.  I know...we really will have no idea for a few more weeks what the final colors are, but GOSH...what unique kittens

I got in touch with Prof. Leslie Lions and asked her what she thought about the kitten. She specializes in feline genetics and her lab sequences the genes of cats of various breeds and looks. She think he looks interesting and they're interested in taking a cheek swab sample of the little guy! How cool is that? I'll contact you in a private message with the contact details for her lab.

Thank you Anne for your response. I do plan on swabbing the kittens cheek and then sending it off to Professor Lyons.  I will post to board and let everyone know whatever results they may be able to share with me!

I also sent you a private message about details Anne

@StefanZ will be very interested in the results!  We all will, but he's the one who knows the most so the results will mean the most.  I'm so glad she wants to do this.

How cool is this?  I can't wait to see the results!  If he keeps his coloring, there will be a line around the block to adopt him when the time comes!
