Hair Loss - Normal?

My 1 year old kitty Jinx has always had sparse eyebrows (she is black so they stand out!).

We recently had to take off her collar because she ended up losing fur on her neck and behind her ears. It has been a couple weeks no since we removed it and her fur seems to slowly be coming back. The fur behind her ears is still super thinned out and I'm not sure if this is normal or how long it may be before her fur fully comes back. Does anyone have any experience with this and if so advice would be much appreciated!

It may take a long time to come back.  I have  17-year-old who has not worn a collar for about 10 years now and she still has some white hairs in the area where the collar was (she's solid black) and her hair seems to be thinner in that area, like it never came in thick again.  Of course at her age, all of her fur isn't as thick as it used to be, but I can still see that the collar did change her neck fur somewhat.
