The Rescue organisation called and there are two new fosters coming my way. One is a b/w male, the other a tortie who is quite far along in pregnancy. The owners have moved and abandoned them. They are both being neutered today - I don't really like spay/abort in late pregnancy, but that is their policy and I can't really argue against it. The society wanted me to get them tomorrow, but I am going to the UK this weekend, so I will collect them Tuesday. They will have to spend the weekend in cages at the vet, but maybe that is a good idea anyway for the girl, in case there are any complications.

My feelings towards the owners are indescribable.

So stand by for pictures!

Being confined is probably a lot better for the tortie right now. We recently had two females whose litters were aborted, and the incisions were longer than for a spay.

I don't want get into how I feel about such owners. :stomp:

The shelter that I got Henry from has quite a few cats from situations like that. They have a ginger tom whose owner died and the relatives tossed him and another cat into the street when they cleaned out the house. The other cat was adopted already.

Thank you for taking these two in. I hope everything goes OK. These poor cats got a raw deal but at least they have you to help them through it. I hope they find amazing forever homes.
