So, so close now. I wonder who'll have the honour of making post #2000. Some lucky member will be winning that t shirt soon :hyper:
And I think it's YOU!

Adding more words, adding more words, lol.... Oh it's hug a cat day, woohoo! I do that every day, many times a day, hahaha.

My Cat Dancer is out of sight when not in use! It's in a drawer, and when I go to that draw for anything, all the cats come running.
I haven't put it down long enough to get to a drawer...

If your cat loves Da Bird, try Neko Flies. It's a fishing pole type toy as well and the toy part are kind of like those lures you put on the end of a actual fishing rod. Leroy goes bonkers for it
I do have note the tthe rubber legs on the bug-like toys come off pretty easily so you may want to trim them down a bit or remove them altogether. Leroy has pulled them off with his teeth and tried to eat them

SIGH...Hekitty has a long and perfect memory.  When I hid it, when I hid it, she had fit.

Oh how I know that feeling.
The older and wiser the cat gets the less time and effort they put in to the chase and the more skilled they get at the watching and waiting too....
Sometimes I swear Mouse is secretly laughing away as he lays in his half hidden watching spot as I wave what ever toy / Da Bird around like an idiot.
You won't throw it out though, because you know how much Hekitty loves that new bundle of feathers.
The joys of being a cat parent.

When Asia was doing the same thing with her bird toy, I anchored the stick to a shelf so that the feathered body dangled down and she can play with it or not at her leisure. (Not sure if it'll help, but that's what I did.)
That doesn't fly here.  Once anchored, she loses interest immediately.  She wants me on the other end.  She wants to play "together."

I'm glad my cats are not that obsessed with da bird. They enjoy it, but they only get that obsessed when it has brand new feathers they want to munch.
We've only had it a week, and it came with two sets of feathers, a blue thingy and a real fur "mowzie."  Dear Lord.

No help here. Just snickering...I have a terrible time remembering the 15 word rule. I really try honest I do. I need to send you a second Da Brd so that you can swing one from each hand. Keep those muscles nice and even.
You are an evil woman and I treasure you beyond measure!

I know I left some of you out, but this just got too, too unweildy!  I think I'm about 2 posts short of goal!

And now another.... 990+ posts before the next one! I can relax for a little while, lol.

I'm about to get dressed and head out for the party. Taking the train into the city since it's downtown practically, and I am not far from the train station. And I HATE driving downtown. Thankfully my friends are willing to pick me up as it's about 10 minutes from them

All this excitement is too much for me.  Going off to do the dishes piled in the sink so we have some clean ones available for dinner.

FYI Made it to Day 7 on the Whole 30 without cheating!!!

Darn, I missed it. Congrats Columbine!!!

I just got back from the huge community yard sale at the local Elk's lodge. My dad and I go every year and I think we did pretty well today. Didn't spend a lot or buy too much useless junk. :)

At the train station, listening to some guy on the phone swearing up a storm. Lovely. I think I can see the train though!

Our mail doesn't get here until 5pm.  So frustrating.  Have to wait and remember to call on problems the next day instead of getting it settled right away.  @NewYork1303 does it have a tracking number?
Yes. Says it was delivered, but never actually made it. The seller said they'd send another so it'll be fine, just frustrating. Our mail also doesn't get her until late, so haven't been able to talk to the post office. I'm hoping we didn't miss anything important. Our marriage license should be on its way.

We wrnt driving around looking at yard sales as several towns were doing tons of yardsales.

Didn't find anything for the kitties. Got some books to read. Got some old car restoration metal working books to teach myself sheetmetal work incase I have to go back into that line of work. Found a book on old car restoration just to look at and for a coworker who is a huge gear head.

He rebuilt his 1971 Cadillac and got a custom built hood ornament which is a mermaid-its absolutely stunning. A mermaid with her hair flowing. So tomorrow I will give him those books.

Got some peatmoss for the garden for $2. Another kitty dish that doesn't slide across the floor and some shorts and button up shirts to cut the sleeves off for work. We can't wear tank tops and the shop is easily 85 degrees in the hot summer so I cut the sleeves off and its way cooler this way.

Congratulations to Columbine for winning!

AWM used to work for the post office, and (at least down here) she said that sometimes packages get thrown onto the wrong route trucks because the addresses are similar. The packages are then bounced back, but it takes a while (anywhere from three business days to two weeks) unless someone goes up to have them look for it, specifically. Have you tried that? Just in case? (I'm not saying that's what happened; just that it's possible.)
