There is a woman named Suzanne that has helped find rescues for many cats from the shelter I work at, the Porter County Animal Shelter in northwest IN, which unfortuanately, despite her efforts, still euthanizes hundreds of cats each year.
She is looking into expanding this "rescue" group/organization, so she needs more help with fostering/transporting. She recently asked me if I knew of anyone that would be willing to foster cats until she could transport them to the rescue she finds for them (most of the rescues are in Chicago). The fostering period would only be 2 weeks at the most. She just needs a place to keep the cats so that they are safe and out of the shelter, a place where she could come get the cat from when she has available time to transport the cat.
Also, she could use some help with transporting, once this gets rolling and once we get more temporary fosters. Once more fosters are aquired, then we could use another transporter or two, most of the time it would be to the Chicago area, but if you are willing to transport to other areas, that would be welcomed, too, provided that we could get a rescue in that area that would take cats.
