We're fostering another litter of kittens and just lost one last night It was very sudden and we got it to the vet as soon as we noticed but unfortunately he didnt make it. When we checked on him before he was playing and purring and eating, then an hour later he wasn't moving and was breathing slowly. He was the runt of the litter and very skinny and kind of boney. He would eat everytime we put food down, but it was hard to say how much because there are 4 others and they graze.
This is our second litter to foster so we are still very new to this. So wanted to know what kind of things to watch out or look for. It was just such a shock to us because he would play and eat, and then one minute later sick. This really devastated us and I've been wondering if there was anything we could have done or noticed early on to maybe prevent this. We just thought he was the runt
