Hello! I have a cat, she's just a little under a year old and was diagnosed with plasma cell pododermatitis. A week ago today (Sunday 4-17-2016) my roommate decided to try and "help" me give my cat Rei, her compound medication for her PCD. She squirted the meds down her throat and Rei vomited it up and was coughing a lot (we figured it went down the wrong pipe which is what the pharmacist said would happen if we didn't ease the medication into her mouth) and her purr sounded really wet like when you're sick with a cold or when you drink water that goes down wrong She only vomited a few times the day it happened, but she's been coughing. It's kind of wet, but nearly as bad as it was a week ago and my roommates whom are home during the day, say she coughs a few times (about three times maybe even less than that) and I'm curious if this should be something I should be worried about? She's eating, taking her meds with little too no issue (she doesn't like it, but it doesn't smell good, so I don't blame her) drinking water and plays, snuggles and harasses the other cat like she did before.

Yes i would take her to the vet she might have aspirated coughs is not good medicin could have gotten into her lung and you dont want that to lead to an upper respitory infection. maybe some one else with better advise will come along a vet visit for sure

Yeah, I'm definitely going to take her to the vet regardless, I just wanted to get a second opinion on the matter to see if it was really necessary. She hasn't really had any other issues, her breathing is normal and she's fairly active.
