It's finally almost here, after much waiting and preparation. My 15 year old kitty's dental is on Wednesday. I have to drop him at the vet's between 7:30-8 AM on Wednesday. I got his pre-dental bloodwork done awhile back. (vet's office is swamped with appointments and has to book aways out for surgeries) He's healthy and his liver and kidneys are in great shape.
I have over $650 set aside just for it. The vet tech says that the most expensive cat dental that she's ever assisted with was $400. So I should be in good shape!
It's nerve wracking though. I'm praying that everything goes smoothly and he has a quick recovery with no complications. The vet says that Spottie's mouth is not the worst 15 year old cat mouth that he's seen, not by a long shot. So hopefully things will go smoothly.
