You can spread a blanket for the kittens to be on and mom to lie on while nursing. Continue feeding mom cat so she makes plenty of milk. She needs dry food available 24/7, and wet cat food twice a day. Moms nurse their babies and take breaks. They do not lie with them all the time. This mom cat will need to be fixed eventually, or she will continue to have litter after litter. For now just keep an eye on things. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Some mom's do leave their babies often, just make sure she is with them some time though. Make sure you handle the babies so that they are tame, you'll have a hundred cats if they are unable to be caught later and neutered. If they scream and mama gets upset, make sure you put them right back, or she will move them. It's absolutely adorable how a newborn kitten will hiss at you, they act tough even with their eyes closed! If at all possible you need to get mama spayed as soon as the kittens are eating solid food, she can get pregnant again almost immediately, I had a kitten that was 2.5 months old when the second litter came. You might want to start saving now. If you can't, it would be kinder to rehome her to someone who can, it's not easy for her to have litter after litter, and she may have complications, and there will be so many kittens around they will starve. I hate to harp on this, but believe me, I've been there many times! All the luck, and keep us posted!
