I am new to the site and new to ferals. There is a cat at my work who we started feeding in December. At the beginning of April we saw that she had 4 kittens. We are all cat lovers and decided our work wasn't the best place to keep them so decided to contact a cat charity to trap them and then adopt them. We caught mum first, they took her but then there was no sign of the kittens. So they bought mum back in a trap, and within 30 minutes we trapped 2 kittens. That was on Wednesday. We trapped mum on Monday and hadn't seen the kittens since Monday morning so was relieved when we caught the 2, but we haven't seen the other 2. They haven't even touched the food we have left out. There are loads of places to hide but we have seen nothing. Mum and 2 kittens are now at the charity and will be rehomed when ready. But we still have 2 traps set up for the 2 remaining kittens. They have been aged at around 10 weeks. Should we be worried or will the other 2 come when they are ready? We are in termoil!

Ten weeks is young to survive on their own but it isn't impossible.  I would continue setting the traps with food.  Don't put food out anywhere else, though.

Speak to others around your work area and see if they've seen them.  Once the kittens start going on their own, they can wander pretty far.

Thank you for caring about them all.  Many people think cats can make it on their own - and unfortunately they often can.  But it is a hard life and cats deserve better.

We are hoping that with everything that has gone on this week they are just hiding and scared. Hopefully we will trap them over the weekend. We have moved all food apart from the bit in the traps so hopefully this will make them come out. We caught dad by accident so the charity have nuetured him and will release him once we've got the kittens. I'm just worried that we haven't seen them since Monday. They are on a secure car park with a main road all around so I don't think (or I hope) they haven't dared go near the main road as it's very exposed and very busy. So hopefully they are around. Mum and the first 2 kittens have homes with people in my office, the missing 2 were supposed to be mine :(

You are doing all you can.  Keep it up for a few weeks - you just never know.

Good news about Dad, though.  Hopefully, you won;t have any more kittens now!

Yeah hopefully the ones we haven't managed to get are either both female or both male - no interbreeding then haha
