I hope I am ok posting this here I'm just worried and want a little reassurance or advice before I seek medical help.

I'm worried about these 2 bumps on my sweet girl's (Emmy) bottom lip.

A little background she's 6 months old, we adopted her 3 months ago. I noticed a bump last week, it looked like a little milk bump and went away shortly after. This afternoon is when the picture was taken, I know the bumps weren't there last night, so they had to pop up this morning. She is acting completely normal, eating fine, playful, despite the bump.

I'm assuming it is not cat acne, just by looking at pictures and the location, although I could be wrong.

I really hope I'm over reacting, but any ideas on what it could be or advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry you haven't gotten a response before now.  I have never had a cat with chin acne but know that it can develop as white bumps, even though the usual appearance is blackheads and red pimples. If you have a good relationship with a vet, you could try emailing the photo (which is very clear) to ask if this is indeed acne.  At any rate, you should get some input from the vet because these lumps should always be taken seriously.

I agree that you should show this to a vet. I have never seen anything like that before - it does not look like acne to me.

OP has not been back in over 5 years, so you will probably not get a reply. This does not look like the chin acne that I have seen, but that does not mean that it isn't. Are you feeding out of plastic bowls?

I noticed mine gets something similar when he chews on cardboard aboxes or takes a foot to the face while wrestling his siblings. His usually goes away in a day or so. Does your cats?

I saw similar bumps to this on my cats when we were using plastic bowls for feeding. When we stopped and switched to stainless steel, the bumps eventually went away
