My little girl is gone. RIP Abby

She was a very beautiful cat, I love her beautiful thick fur and  expressive face. You two had almost 18 years together, what a wonderful long adventure you shared. Your life together was full of love and devotion, the feelings you had for her shine forth from your beautiful tribute written from the heart. No matter how long we have with them, it is not long enough, the pain and heartache is tremendous, and the sense of loss and loneliness fills our lives and homes. To share your pain with others helps to release some of it from our souls, we will all share your burden by crying with you for the loss of sweet Abby and what she meant to you and your family. My heart and prayers go out to you, please accept my sincere condolences, take care of yourself and allow yourself plenty of time to grieve and to reminisce. Try to celebrate having her in your life, not dwell on the end, it only brings heartache. She loves you so very much and only wants happiness in your life, she would never want you to be sad when remembering your time together. You gave her a wonderful home and love, it is all she ever wanted. RIP beautiful Abby. you will be mourned by many and will be forever held in a loving heart!

I'm so sorry for your loss. She is absolutely beautiful. Much loved. She needed love and a home-you provided. She was happy with you. She was content. Now she is running free at the Bridge with no pain or illness. She is happy to be free of this but we are the ones who are left to pick up the broken pieces.

Oh, Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about Abby! She and Chynna were TCS cats for so long that a lot of us felt we knew them. Abby surely knew you had her best interests at heart and was grateful to be released peacefully. It's really tough to part with a longtime companion, and you never stop missing them.

RIP, sweet Abby.

I'm so sorry for your loss, @Natalie_ca.    So many of us know exactly how you feel right now. It hurts so bad. You and Abby were so lucky to have each other and share your love for nearly 18 years.    In time, I hope the good memories of Abby will help to lessen the pain.

I still miss her so much.   A couple nights ago I was laying in bed crying, wishing that I could take it back so that we could snuggle.

I know I did the right thing by her and I really have no regrets, other than selfish ones. 

Tonight I was sitting on the loveseat watching TV and my eyes played tricks on me.  Abby would jump up by my feet and pad her way up onto my chest and lay there with her head buried under my chin and purr. She would stay like that for hours.  Tonight I thought I saw her on the floor by the loveseat getting read to jump up, and I moved my legs to make room for her.  When I looked again, there was nothing there.

It's just not fair that we live so long, and that they leave us so soon.
