Letter to my Madcat

Madison,

There's no words to explain how much I'm grieving right now but I take comfort in knowing that you're in a much better place and no longer hurting.

I woke up this morning thinking you're going to wake me up but you're no longer there. I miss how you paw my face in the middle of the night. I miss when you head bunt my hand as I do my hw.... and continuously to do so whenever I stopped. I miss having allergies in the morning because it's a reminder that you're close by. I miss how you followed my every step as I move from room to room. The house feels so empty without you.

But thank you for holding on as long as you did. Thank you for staying strong and fighting. And most of all, thank you for showing me unconditional love.

Love you forever Madicat!

What a beautiful kitty.  Such expressive eyes.  I'm sorry for your loss--it's so very difficult to get used to them being gone.  

I'm so sorry for your loss. The love and bond of a cat is the most special ever. Just know that your Madicat will be waiting for you across the Rainbow Bridge.

Sweet Madison knew she was loved and wanted and that is all she ever needed. I cry for the pain you are going through, I wish there was a magical potion to make it all better, but there is no way to change the past and no way to keep death from coming to all living things.  It hurts so very much to have them gone from our lives, they brought us so much and they filled our homes with their presence. Now you feel so very alone and your house is so very empty. Time is the only thing that helps to soften the agony,, and it will take a long time to heal the hole in your heart that came when she took a piece of it with her,  She took it to have a part of you to love and to complete the bond between the two of you that will endure for as long as you live.  She also left a part of herself behind to live on in your heart, flood it with warmth and joy, don't allow darkness and sorrow to dwell there long, she wants only happiness for the one she loved above all others.  Try to remember the good times and all that she gave to you, she would never want you to be so sad when thinking of her, but to celebrate the time you did have together. Her spirit will live on in your heart, let your precious memories bring you comfort. We all share your sorrow and understand your pain, I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers, take care.........RIP dear Madison. you will never be forgotten and will be forever held in a loving heart!

The pain of losing a beloved kitty can be so devastating. They were a huge part of our lives and it is heartbreaking when they are no longer with us. Believe me, I understand your pain all too well. My heart truly goes out to you. I wish I could help more than with simple words. Just know that I care and I cry along with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss, @ealyssa.  You did a brave thing to take away her pain when you noticed it was time.    It's such a difficult decision to make, and we all understand. You showed her so much love.
