Is this normal

OK I want to apologize in advance for the description I'm about to give. My cat Sugar took an enormous crap this morning about four feet away from her litter box. In the middle of the kitchen floor. Now I'm not talking a big crap I'm thinking she lost half her body weight in one bm. If I didn't know any better I would think a bear **** on my floor. She has never messed outside her litter box ever, not ever a hairball. Should I be worried?

Is it possible she was constipated? Was she using the box normally and regularly before this... event?

Yes she is pretty regular I normally get two of three lincon logs every time I scoop. Which is one or twice a day.

Then this is quite abnormal and I would call the vet.

Even though she was going regularly her belly did feel very full after wining the world record for bigiest land mine production her gut did seem a lot less full.

An update. Took her to the vet and she said since she recently finished pain meds from her spay surgery that it probably stopped her up, and after it all got out of her system it was like uncorking a bottle of champagne. She has since used the litter box for peeing and pooping and no further aciddents.

I am glad she was checked out and seems to feel better.  Is that Sugar in your avatar?  She is a beauty.  Keep us posted on how she is. 

Yep that's my Sugar she is certainly a cutie.
