I still haven't officially adopted and I kinda went shopping on chewy already. Oops. But I know the cat I'm adopting he's exclusively on a fancy feast diet but I wanted to do half dry half wet. I bought natures grain free chicken and then l JUST read grain free is bad for male cats. Ok.....now what. Should I just return the dry food.

Wait, why is grain-free bad for male cats? I've never heard that.

Edit - read up a bit. Looks like grain free wet is fine but dry has its issues. I would choose a high-quality dry with some grains and exchange.

There isn't really a need to feed dry unless it is an issue relating to convenience and/or cost.  Feeding all wet/raw is ideal.

I currently feed dry food on weekday mornings since I am often rushing out the door (I am a middle school teacher).  Both the dry, wet, and raw foods I feed are all grain-free.

true wet food is more costly but thats why i try to do a decent quality dry without killing my budget (idk about BB..... too many mixed reviews). But I also have a water fountain if that helps.
