Baby turtle

I've noticed that several people here own aquatic turtles and since I can't post pics on the turtle sites I was hoping someone could give me a little advice.
If you can see, about two scutes back between the middle and the right side is a mark, and I can't tell if there is a spot between the 2nd and 3rd scutes in the middle too. Is this shell rot or something else I should be worried about?


Also, how do your kitties and turtles interact?
Niko loves to watch his pet turtle, Vic Vega, swim around.

Aw, what a sweetie!  He's so green and perfect that he looks like a sculpture.      I'm sorry I don't have any advice to offer.  I've never had a pet turtle, but yours is absolutely adorable.

We had 2 of those that we got at a flea market years ago. One died not long after but the other one (Sheldon) lived for years. One thing I can say is that they make the tank MUCH dirtier than fish do. We did have a pleco that shared the tank with Sheldon. He got pretty big. The turtle will grow in proportion to the size of the tank it is in. Shel was in a 10 gallon tank. There were no kitties in the house at the time. He was cute and we liked him but I would never get another because of how dirty they are.

Your turtle and kitty are beautiful. I loved turtles ever sine I was a kid.
