I mentioned this cat in another thread.  She had been fighting and had a few wounds on her head.   I tried trapping her for the shelter and coudnlt do it.

Since then her 2 friends came back and she has stopped fighting and seems fine.

HOWEVER... her friend came back with a bite wound on his "hip" near his anus.   Hes been back for 2 weeks and again I can't trap him.  (My animal control officer knows about him)... he seems fine...even runs and the wound is healing.

Ive been giving him fish mox. for almost a week.   I was wondering if i should also give this to the cat with the old head wounds.  Her fur is growing back... but could she still have an infection???

I KNOW BOTH NEED HELP -. IVE TRIED ENDLESSLY.   This is my option right now.

THANK YOU!!!!

It won't hurt either cat to give them the Fishmox, but you need to give the right dose for at least 7-10 days. If you stop before a week, or don't give the appropriate dose, an infection can return and be harder to treat. Signs of an infection include loss of appetite, lethargy, feverish behavior, and puss at wound area.

Have you tried using a humane trap? You can purchase one at Tractor and Supply for about 20 dollars. If there is a Humane Society near you, they lend them out with a returnable deposit. Tuna fish works really well as bait. As long as they aren't fixed, they're going to fight sometimes and get injured.

It's great you're willing to help these cats.
