I was surprised to see that all the threads for black and white pix of our kitties were SO old now!  Nothing was posted in years so I'm starting a new one.

I really love B&W photography, as it allows you to concentrate on the subject instead of color.  Getting a good B&W shot isn't easy either.  I'm always toying with settings to get the right tones.

Anyway, here's a few of Casper (domestic shorthair bi-color red/white) and Cocoabean, our tortie.

Would love to see photos from others who enjoy this style of photography!

Most of the photos I take of my cats are actually in black and white. Two cats, three years old, and I probably have 2 thousand photos lol.

This first shot is Loki, on the day we brought him home. You can see how playful and friendly he is going to be. There was very little shyness in him.

Cats sleeping is one of my favourite things to photograph. Loki looks so peaceful here. So precious.

This was the first time I thought "Gotcha, Mia loves me". She was hard work for a Burmese, but the bond between us is now very strong indeed. you can see me reflected in her eyes about 6 inches away !

shhh. kittens sleeping

I love the texture on this shot.

and finally, a recent one of Mia
