Hi, everyone!

I am new to this site but I'm hoping someone could give me some insight into what might be wrong with my cat's tooth. She is a female domestic short hair and is 9 years old. I've posted a picture of the problem tooth. When I look online I keep seeing tooth resorption come up, but her tooth doesn't look like any of the examples I've seen. Any help is appreciated!!

It looks like it's painful.  If it is resorptive, it needs to be pulled and she needs to have her teeth cleaned.  Resorptive lesions are so very painful for your kitty.   My kitty recently had it and needed to have 2 teeth extracted.

Thanks for your response. I'm going to see about getting her an appointment at the vet tomorrow. She was having issues with it for the first time last night but hasn't shown any sign of pain all of today. does it look like a resorptive tooth to you?
