Haha im not sure about the full moon but I'm definitely happy she's done. I woke up at 130 am to check on her and she had already had 1 kitten 2nd cleaned it off. She ended up having 6 kittens total!! She did wonderful. She ate all 6 placemats. She seemed pretty tired with the last one and didn't cut the cord. I just picked up the kitten and brought it up by her face and she was able to do it without me cutting it for her. She was just to tired to sit up,and reach it on her own. We seem to have 2 females and 4 males. There's 1 torti, 1 gray, 1 orange, 1,very light orange almost white, 1 tuxedo, and 1 plain black. Here were their weights.
1st born 99g. Torti
2nd born 90g. Black
3rd born 89g. Light orange
4th born 76g. Dark orange
5th born 100g. Tuxedo
6th born 90g. Grey

I'm glad it went well. You'll need to keep an eye on the smallest. Not unusual to have a runt in a litter this size, but 76 grams is tiny. Make sure everyone is getting ample nipple time and gaining 6-10 grams a day. If not, supplement the smallest with 1-2 mLs of KMR at a time, every 2-3 hours until they are stronger if you think they need it.

I'm sure happy she finally had them! She sure took her sweet time!

How are you feeling?

Oh I'm definitely keeping an eye on the smallest. She is the most feisty. She has nursed almost non stop, and she pushes the others out of the way. None of the are crying so im,assuming They are getting lots to eat. I bought some KMR just in case but I'm hoping No one needs it! I'm feeling ok. Really sore but thars to be expected. I definitely can't wait until nap time!haha

Great news!!!! Congrats on the babies!!!!

Now maybe you can get a little more rest and let momma take care of them for a little while.

That's a good sign. If she stays like that she will catch up to the rest in no time.

They all fight over one nipple. Silly kittens. I did get 2 hours of sleep before it was time to get the kids ready for school! So that helped a little.

I'm not sure. Rosie could just be very tired. Does she have any energy?

She's breathing hard and panting. I thought maybe she had another one in there but I don't feel anymore. She's not bleeding anymore. She's eaten since she had them but don't drink her water. She had 6 kittens and 6 afterbirths..so I don't think it's that.

How do I get her to drink? I've been holding her food and water dish up to her because she refuses to leave the box. Even though her dish is right next to her box. She has been eating but don't drink. Any suggestions?

Is she eating wet food or dry food?

If she is eating dry food, then mix some wet food in it, and this will help put water in her system.

also make sure that she is staying cool. But don't let the kittens get cold! Those kittens feeding are using up a lt of her energy!

Ok it's very warm in my bathroom where she is. Should I turn a fan on low? I don't want to chill the kittens but I also don't want her to be to hott

I only want the best for her. I suggest trying to contact an advisor or somebody like that. They are much more experienced than me.

In the meantime, how would Rosie react to maybe a cool wet cloth draped on her. Also maybe you could blot it on her, to cool her off.

How do you think she would like watered down milk?

I called the vet already and I'm waiting on a call back. Just looking for advice in the mean time. Thank you for your help I appreciate it! I'm Going to try the things you suggested. The watered down milk and cool cloth.I also put the fan on low. Not directly on them but just to circulate the air.

This does not sound like an emergency to me. She may be experiencing after pains from the delivery. Cats get their water intake from what they eat, so if she's eating wet food and ate placentas, she is probably hydrated.

You can offer a bowl of kmr for her to drink but never cow milk.

How hot is it in the bathroom?
