I will keep an eye on her over the next few hours, if it still continues i will take her to the vet.
Shes absolutely fine in herself, shes nursing the babys all ok and has been in her litter tray and has had a little bit to eat.....

Sometimes they do continue to breathe heavily afterwards, even for a day or so off and on. The body must calm down. And they can have after pains, like we do.

Congrats on the kittens! Just make sure to put her food and water and litter box nearby so she has easy access without too much effort. A dish of KMR is nice to offer as well. She needs the calcium. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Another update.... i took oggy and babys to the vet, oggy was still breathing heavily and panting.
The vet has done a ultrasound her uterus is going back to normal.
There is a small amount of soft tissue in her uterus and he is around 30% sure it is not a placenta, he is 100% sure there is also no kittens.
Her temperature is normal aswell.
He said he could of gave her a oxytocin injection but as he is not sure its placenta (and also the fact she is producing oxytocin due to nursing).
I have to see how she is in the morning, and to look out for smelly discharge if no change then she will be going back in.
He is quite happy as she is eating and using the litter tray.
We also had the kittens checked as they came with us obviously and we have 2 boys and 3 girls all healthy with no cleft palate or hernias.
I wanted to take oggy to the vets just for reassurance and to make sure she is ok. X
