She's seems so alert and jumps 2 every noise which she never do normally as she's such a relaxed cat she seems like she can't keep still for long and her vulva is open a little
Hi update... no kitties yet and she not trying to escape to go back in the porch anymore but she have found a new hiding spot behind my sofa with towels and 1 of my pj bottoms [emoji]128514[/emoji] she haven't been eating as much today and I hardly seen her today either she's been asleep most of the day. She popped out from the sofa this morning for some belly rub and went back to her hiding spot
I'm assuming if she gave birth on the 8th which would of been a Monday this week would be 9weeks.. I'm trying to roughly guess by looking at her size as she is very big and she is nesting that she's very close to of given birth, I am keeping a very close eye on her and have got a vet quiet close just incase she don't seem like she's in any stress at all and she seem like she trusts me by letting me give her belly rubs don't think she had any love and attention before so she's milking every bit of my love and attention lol she was covered in fleas and had worms but I done the flea spray that the vet gave me and they said they treat the worming once she gave birth coz she's very close now so they treat her and the kittens
Ok so today is 65 days from Feb 8th. Do you have any KMR handy. You want to make sure she has enough calcium in her to feed her kittens. Calcium deficiency can be fatal to mom. Her body will give all hers to the kittens. Ways to increase her calcium; a small dish of KMR or goat's milk every day, egg shells crushed into a powder and mixed into her wet food, full fat unflavored yogurt.
She may be ok since she only had one kitten and she didn't nurse it but it's easier to prevent the deficiency.
Thank you for ur advise I have got kmr ready her vulva seems a little open could that be coz she not long given birth or is it she due to go into labour soon?
Every cat is different and there is no way to predict when she'll give birth. In the last 48 hours she should lose her mucus plug, water should leak, she could get soft stools and have a large dump, her milk could come in. However, some cats have lost bits of the mucus plug over a few days, some have leaked fluids for a few days, milk can come in up to a week before she gives birth.
I know your anxious but you just have to wait it out.
Thank you I want to be here when she do go into labour but I do school runs etc her labour last time he said it didn't go to well the kitten was stuck for a while and he had to gently pull the kitten out :/ so that's why I want to be here for her and have vets on speed dial
Update... still no kitties not showing alot of nesting in what I can tell she sleeps alot and drinks alot food not so much. Seen a few twitches here and there and her milk is in so just a waiting game for us now noticing she's been weeing ALOT today more than usual don't know if that's a sign or not lol
She spends most of her time behind my sofa with towels and that so not sure if she gona nest there or in her box. think the waiting game is a killer lol seems like forever her back end has been really twitchy all day
My little pandora had her kittens while i was away at school but my dad was home. Anyways is she like lying down everywhere then getting up again if so she may pop soon like my cat. I woke last night with her on my chest and it was strange because she hates my bed. Well hoped this helped
