This is the first (and only) litter for my cat. She started acting funny yesterday so we figured she was heading into labor. At 430 this morning (13 hours ago) she had a still born half way and wasn't pushing. We gave her time to see if she would continue to deliver on her own but she didn't. We assisted her and was successful
On getting small still born out. She has not had any more and doesn't appear to be distressed. However she has been curled up sleeping all day. Is this normal after an experience like this? Btw we called
The vet this morning but can't get him to return our calls (I'm guessing because it is Sunday)

Unfortunately we did not get a good report. Not only did she have 4 more underdeveloped kittens that had to be removed, but we also found out that she has leukemia. According to the vet, this was most likely the reason for the pregnancy complications. Her body was not able to support their lives as it is working extra hard just to keep her alive. We go back at the end of the week for additional tests. There is a possibility that she will make some improvements but we are also having to prepare ourselves for the possibility that she will be euthanized. It is a very sad day in our house right now.

Ouch, really bad news.   What is your momma-cats name?  A pic?  Its easier to direct positive vibes and prayers knowing exactly to whom they are directed.

Feeling with you.

*vibes!*

This is our Mama. Her name is Sunday because she was a rescue that we found on Sunday morning at our church. She is really my 4 year old son's cat as she has chosen him to be her favorite. She sleeps with him nightly in his bed, often on top of him.

If you need intermediaries in your prayers, as a help for focusing the prayers, my proposals

are   Mary and the Jesus child (yes, as the children in the catholics countries do ) - suitable for your son perhaps?

Among the saints I would propose  Rademenes, the nurse cat at a veterinary clinic in Bydgoszcz in Poland.

The hospital cat Oscar is helping at the self last passage. But this help is more important for humans - whom arent aided by injections, they must die by themselves.

Anyway, I will pray for Sunday, having her pic before me, thes sweet saddle tabby.    *vibes!*
