Heart Problem

Found out yesterday that my cat has a heart problem. Fluid was drained from his lungs and he is on fluid tablets and antibiotics. He is only eating a small amount. He is really not with it today although his heart rate appears much better. I lost his brother 2 years ago to the same thing. Is there any hope for cats with this problem?

Just a thought, could your cat be anemic? I have a liter of cats who when they were babies became anemic. Because of this it caused them to have a heart murmer. I discovered this myself after lots of research. my vet didn't even pick up on it when he first saw them. I started giving them Pet tinic. It is full of the B vitamins. They perked right up after a few days and the murmer was gone! Anemia can cause heart problems.
