My cat Jinxx is a 6 year old Maine Coon mix. He is indoor only cat, though since I'm only 17 I'm not sure if he's up to date on his shots. He hasn't been to a vet in a few years, we adopted him from a shelter who gave told us that he was fully vaccinated.
While petting him today, I noticed an odd texture on one corner of his mouth, and opened up his lip to see what it was. There seems to be an scab or sore, yellow and pink in color. It doesn't appear to be in his gums or mouth. He is still eating and drinking well, and has his normal attitude.
However he doesn't like drinking from a normal bowl. He only drinks water from our bathroom sink. Could this be the cause?
Thank you!!
Here are some pictures I managed to take for reference.
