Hi Chris,

I've moved your post to your Pregnant Cats and kitten care forum where you'll be able to get some advice.

The most important thing is to keep the kitten warm. She can't regulate her own body temperature so put her inside your shirt to warm her up, then get either a hot water bottle or a rice sock. (Sock filled with uncooked rice heated in a microwave oven) to put in her bed with her.

DON'T TRY TO FEED HER WHEN SHE'S COLD!

Try rubbing a little honey on her lips.

One of our posters with more kitten experience will be along soon.

You need to warm the kitten immediately with a heat source such as a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel and placed nearby, or a rice sock heated in a microwave oven for 5 minutes.

Next, do not use cow's milk! Can you get goat's milk? Or a can of condensed milk? If goat's milk, use it plain. If condensed milk, beat an egg yolk into it with a pinch of salt and sugar or honey. Warm it slightly. Using a syringe or eye dropper, you must feed the kitten 1-2 mL every 2 hours. Tummy down, head up, one drop at a time in the side of its mouth. Let it swallow, breathe, and go again. The kitten is too young to feed itself!!! You must feed it around the clock - even through the night. The kitten must be fed immediately or it will starve to death. Kittens nurse mom every 2 hours when this young.

After feeding, take a soft cloth or cotton ball and gently stimulate the kitten's genitals, like mom would. This helps it go wee and poop. They cannot go without help for the first 3 weeks. You just rub back and forth gently.

It will be tiring to help this kitten, but it is the only way it can make it without its mom. What happened to the mom?

Ask all your questions on this thread. Good luck, and post a picture please! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I'm sorry but this didnt help, i putted the kitten in a sock, and the kitten is happy but still not drinking milk or water, the mom was pregnant with 3 kittens she moved 2 but left this poor one here alone, i felt sorry over him and got him to my house, and he's not eating and doing nothing just sleeping when i leave him alone.

There may be a reason why the mother left the kitten; nature has her ways :/ you should try stimulating the kitten a bit like the mother would: give it a clean all over its body with a warm wet cloth, doing motions like a cats tongue would.

A hungry kitten would be meowing a lot, and it seems you've had it for at least half a day. Encourage it to drink a little water, kmr or goats milk by putting a drop in its mouth and letting it taste it, though make sure what ever you give it is about body temperature warm. It is very important to keep the kitten hydrated

Another thought that comes to mind is that the kitten may be extremely constipated, so much that it had lost its appetite. Though usually kittens would meow in pain from constipation. If you manage to feed it, try mixing in a small amount (half a teaspoon or less) of natural olive oil to the warm goats milk to help it poop.

The kitten is staving to death.  Putting the kitten in a sock is not going to get it warm enough.  It needs a heat source as stated above.    the kitten cannot digest the food if it or the kitten is cold.

As mentioned, putting into a sock isnt enough, the kitten cant warm itself, it must get warmth from outside.  You got advices on how.

The idea with a sock is useful, it is, but not enough.

It may be so its too weak to eat, because of being too cold.

Warm it up, actively.  Smear a little water solution of honey or white caro syrup on its lips and its gum - it will give quick energy.

You can begin with this glucose sugar smearing even now before its properly warmed up.

And third, give it something to eat as described above.  Exactly what depends on what you do have.   Begin with a little water, this glucose sugar solution I told immediately above, and a trifle of salt - its a sort of basic home made pedialyte.  This will not save her but will buy you some time.

It may be a little of force feeding in the beginning. Just be careful, so it doesnt get fluid into the lungs - such gives easily pneumonia and death.

You can try and lend gears and suitable food articles from your neigbours - in time of extreme need, the sociale norm is they got to help you if they can and you are asking for help.  Even neigbours whom you  dont know well, even neigbours with whom you arent on speaking terms with.

You can perhaps even get someone of them to help you out? Try with a mother of several children - these are usually good with organizing things even in chaotic situations...

Its Red Alert and a hurry.

Tx for caring!   Good luck!

Please re-read my Post #3 again very carefully - especially the part about FEEDING the kitten!

You must FEED the kitten!

Where do you live? How old are you?

Can you take the kitten to a rescue group or a vet's office ASAP so they can take care of it and feed it? It will die soon otherwise.

Please let us know if you decide to feed the kitten or turn it over to someone else to care for.

For warmth do this: fill 2 bottles with hot water and wrap them in a towel so it is warm but not hot. Then put the kitten on it. You can also heat a sock of uncooked rice in the microwave for 5 minutes, wrap that and put the kitten on it

I suppose in Lebanon its warmer than here, so its perhaps not as dramatic as here in the cold northern Europe.  Still. Be sure the kitten is warm. Not too warm, but warm.

Please, do Read again through the advices.

If you can get goat milk its good.  Raw goat milk is best, but bottled or cartooned is OK.

Here in Sweden the only place to find goat milk is in shops run by immigrants from Libanon and other coutries there - so you MUST have access to goat milk.

Plain unsweetened youghurt may be OK too.

Does the kitten has open eyes?  Raised ears?

The kitten looks healthy on the pics, no crusts on eyes, nor dropping nose.  If you manage the problem with everyday care, food etc, it should live on and be OK.

If you get it a litter, be sure its non clumping litter, NOT a clumping litter.  Small kittens tastes on everything alike small human babies.

Agreed with the above.  This kitten is older than you thought and should start to accept kitten mush in the next few weeks.

Until then, the kitten must be kept with a heating source.  The water bottle, heating pad, or microwaved rice sock will all work.

Feed kitten formula or goat milk from a bottle or needleless syringe every 2-3 hours, even through the night.  The kitten needs around 12 ml per feeding.  Butter is not a healthy food substitute.

The kitten will also need help going to the bathroom for the next few weeks.  You will need to stimulate its belly and genitals after every feeding.

The kitten does not mean to be annoying; it is a defenseless baby.  If you will not care for it, please find a rescue that will.  It needs around the clock care at this time.
