I"m so happy I found this site.
Mathilda is approximately 6 years old. She was an adult rescue. I think she was left alone most of her life, which is sad, but I have to respect her need to not be over stimulated by noise, touch, etc. Just over the past few months she has started to spend more time in physical closeness to us, even sitting on my husband's lap, which is a huge step for her. She is a a tortie, mixed with Maine Coon and persian we think.
About 18 monte ago we added a kitten to our family, also a rescue, AND my very first tuxedo cat. We named him Chappie and he is definitely a little firecracker! Loves to get into the trash cans and always looking for trouble. I love that about him!
We are going to be moving in a month or so and I look forward to "catifying" our new house for these guys. I'd also love any tips on how to help make the move easier on them. I will search the forum too because I bet this has been discussed here before.
