We had him neutered last week and he has calmed down since then, but I'm going to be at home more so I can keep them separate if need be!

During her labour I'm keeping him away from her so she isn't stressed too.

Congratulations! He needs to be away from her during labor and probably the first three weeks. Moms like a lot of privacy and can get very territorial. Oreo is also still fertile for up to a month. No alone time is the best policy.

She's panting and grooming like crazy, if the things I saw earlier were contractions she had 5, a little while later she had ;, a little while after that she had 3, and not long ago she had two so she should be ready to drop soon! she keeps cleaning her teats I don't know if that's cause we softened them with oil or not, but she keeps trying to get comfy constant heavy breathing and purring :) xx

It might just be contractions because they do cause cats to purr & if she's panting then it's a sign that she's in labour. please keep us updated xxx

She's in labor. You'll have kittens soon. Make sure she has water nearby.

She's panting like crazy and looks super uncomfortable, it looks and feels like the kittens harden then she cramps and they move and soften, I'm assuming that's her contractions and moving them into the birth canal? She doesn't look any where as big as she did prior to labour so that's a good sign. She just keeps panting and laying down bless her.

Yes, that's labor. Those are contractions. She's in pain.

I've not seen any mucus plug yet though? She can barely reach and I'd notice if she cleaned it up but nothing yet, when will that be released roughly?

Never mind her waters just broke

It's hard to say. It varies. Should be sometime today from the sound of things.

It started coming out she went to lick and it went back in, she isn't pushing very frequently, the vet said call if she's pushing for 20 mins and nothing happens just hope she will push it out soon :(

She eventually popped number one out but it's finding it hard latching on, I put it next to the teat but he didn't latch on I'm super worried

How many are there now? If they are latched and not crying, they are probably getting milk. The best that you can do is to weigh them every day.

Still just number one for now, she's ready for number two but isn't pushing yet so I'll give it time.

There is no reason to be concerned unless mom is pushing and nothing is happening. There can be long gaps.
