So I recently took my cat to get her yearly shots and they said she had a bit of tarter and I should think of scheduling a dental cleaning. So I plan to do that eventually, but now I'm thinking of ways to make sure her teeth stay clean (Tbh I never really thought about it until they brought it up)
I did some research and all the answers I found were suggesting letting her chew on something like toys or dental treats to scrape it off (Or just cleaning with cat toothpaste etc) So I was wondering if it was a good idea to sprinkle some dry food into her meals every once and a while? Say maybe once or twice every week?
And also, while I was researching if it was okay to mix wet and dry food (They all said it was okay) I saw an answer that said fish based wet foods were a bad idea (My cat basically only eats a fish based product) and it's mainly because it's the only brand that I could find that doesn't have anything like veggies, grains, and things like cheese in it. They had a chicken version I used to rotate with but for whatever reason they stopped selling it.
Anyway, should I try and find another brand? Or is fish an okay diet, because so far she seems to be doing just fine with it. And if I was to start adding dry food to help keep dental cleaning, is there any product that's recommended?
Thanks in advance!
