Does anyone have recommendations about what food brand to feed a cat who is undergoing treatment for cancer. I understand to look for a low carb/high protein food but can anyone recommend which one?? I do have some AD but not sure if it has too many carbs.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

The best food would be homemade, cooked or raw. There are lots of people that feed raw while their cats are undergoing treatment, although there are some concerns about it. I'd encourage you to do research if you're interested and discuss it with your vet.

If you absolutely don't want to go that route, something high quality and palatable, like weruva, tikicat, merrick LID, freeze dried like Primal or Stella and Chewy, Nature's Variety Instinct LID.

Whatever your cat will eat! I know they get nauseous from chemo treatments (no experience with radiation therapy) so I'd be more concerned with keeping calories going in than exactly what it was made of. Baby food, Fancy Feast, chicken broth? All on the table at my house.

I agree with CinqChats-whatever they will eat! I have used DM Purina Pro Plan, high protein low carb. Usually it is used for diabetics but I did use it for the same reason - cancer. When push came to shove and my cat need more calories I did use the AD and she found that very tasty!

Really high quality prescription food to ensure they are getting all the nutrients they need is best.
